Our Story

Constructive Concepts of St. Louis, Inc was founded by Lila Shepley, a mother of two who uses AwareAbouts™ tags with her children and herself almost every day. The concept for a shoe-based tag came from personal experience, as Lila’s own son requires a tag with critical medical information but refused to wear bracelets or necklaces.

After years of working with first responders, doctors, parents, children, as well as testing various materials to hold up to the rigors of outdoor activity, AwareAbouts™ was born.

AwareAbouts™ received a utility patent (Pat. No. 6,467,693) on July 22, 2002.
